Trinity United Methodist’s Candlelight Concerts

is proud to present:

Kevin Ayesh with Autumn Sonata – Autumn Rhapsody

The performance will be live-streamed (see link above) and also simulcast on KPTZ FM 91.9.

Admission to the concert is free (really!), with a suggested donation of $15 per person. You are most welcome to attend whether you choose to donate or not. Half of the donation proceeds from this concert will go to Ayesh’s chosen charity, Olympic Neighbors, whose mission is to create home and community for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Ayesh’s Candlelight Concert program will feature Beethoven’s Sonata in B-flat Major, Opus 22, perhaps the most “classical” in structure of all of Beethoven’s sonatas. Brahms’ beautiful Intermezzo in A Major, Opus 118 will follow, and the program will conclude with Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, in celebration of that work’s 100th anniversary.

Ayesh has presented concerts and master classes throughout the United States (he has performed in all 50 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia), as well as in Canada, England, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and Hong Kong. As a North Carolina Visiting Artist for four years, he appeared before thousands across that state, performing as many as 50 recitals in a season. He has been a featured guest recitalist and clinician at the Lindlar International Piano Festival in Germany, the Star Valley Junior Music Festival in Wyoming, the Gene Marcus Piano Festival at Purdue University-Fort Wayne, and the USA Piano Camp at the University of South Alabama.

Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 609 Taylor Street, across from the Community Center, in Uptown. Attendees should plan on arriving early – doors will open at 6:30. Masks are encouraged but not mandatory for in-person attendees.
