Trinity United Methodist’s Candlelight Concerts

is proud to present:

Kevin Ayesh, Classical Pianist

Admission to the concert is free (really!), with a suggested donation $15 per person. You are most welcome to attend whether you choose to donate or not. Half of the donation proceeds from this concert will go to Ayesh’s chosen charity, Olympic Neighbors, whose mission is to create home and community for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Ayesh’s Candlelight Concert program will feature Beethoven’s ever-popular Pathetique Sonata,
followed by a “beautiful springtime bouquet” of lyrical and passionate works by a variety of
Romantic composers: Schubert, Schumann, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff.

Pianist Kevin Ayesh has presented concerts and master classes throughout the United States
as well as in Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, and China. As a North Carolina Visiting Artist for four years, he appeared before thousands across that state, performing as many as 50 recitals in a season. He has been a featured guest recitalist and clinician at the Lindlar International Piano Festival in Germany, the Star Valley Junior Music Festival in Wyoming, the Gene Marcus Piano Festival at Purdue University-Fort Wayne, and the USA Piano Camp at the University of South Alabama.

Kevin Ayesh is the recipient of many prizes and awards, and has been a finalist in several national and
international competitions. He served for nearly 30 years as head of the music department at
Blue Ridge Community College in Flat Rock, North Carolina, and is currently Adjunct Professor
of Piano at Spartanburg Methodist College in South Carolina. A native of Wichita, Kansas,
Ayesh received his Bachelor of Music degree with highest honors from the University of Texas
at Austin; his master’s and doctorate degrees are from the University of Maryland.

Trinity United Methodist Church is located at 609 Taylor Street, across from the Community Center, in Uptown Port Townsend. Attendees should plan on arriving early – doors will open at 6:30. Masks are encouraged for in-person attendees.
